Our 24 hour home care is of a very high standard and we have firm rules and procedures in our nursery. Our Care Workers and volunteers receive ongoing training and our goal is to find a forever family for every child.
(a) Babycare
* We care for babies from birth to ± 1 year old, short term, by giving them a home, clothing, food, plenty of love and cuddling.

* We visit clinics and hospitals regularly for medical care

In our August 2009 newsletter, we
asked to you "watch this space"
We now wish to share our excitement with you as we announce the commencement of
a new Little Angels project.
In a nearby needy community we have known for some time of the need for daycare,
particularly for babies and, possibly, small physically or mentally challenged
children.
Whilst we have often attempted to
assist, distance was always a stumbling block and our dream was to be able to
find premises, from which we could run a project to cater for this need.
Well, we have been blessed with premises that we will be able to lease, with
effect from beginning January 2010, with the option to purchase the property
when finances allow.
Our aims, as soon as we have been able to do some small alterations, are to:
- provide daycare for small babies (ages birth to 24
months old) in a safe, happy and
healthy environment
- provide daycare for small babies and children who are afflicted by physical or
mental challenges
- expand our existing place of safety capacity, with additional premises as a drop off place in the community
- provide a place of safety for
pregnant mothers in need and short term accommodation for them and their
newborns
With your help, we can make a meaningful difference to those in need and this is how you can get involved:
1) Prayer support for the set up and running of the project
2) Contribute towards:
Rent (approx. R5000 per month)
Municipal accounts and telephone (approx. R2000 per month
Salaries for two live-in day care staff and one casual staff (approx. R8000 per
month)
Baby care consumables such as nappies, toiletries, food, etc. (approx R5000 per
month)
3) Contribute towards the once off expenditure of some R20.000 to do a
few alterations
(fit doors to existing holes in walls, fix up bathrooms and convert existing entrance
and lounge into a meeting place and nursery).
4) Contribute towards the purchase of the property (approx. R450.000 to
R490.000) in
order to secure Little Angels its own fixed property into the future and save on
monthly rentals (We will open a separate dedicated bank account for these
contributions, with the first donation)
5) Contribute towards a few household items, such as a stove, fridge, freezer,
microwave oven, crockery, cutlery, tv, vcr, dvd player, kettle, toaster and other
sundry kitchen supplies.
6) Volunteer your love, and baby care expertise by spending time with the babies and
children (the volunteer roster will begin as soon as the first baby arrives during
Jan/Feb 2010)
If you are able to assist in any way, please contact Phillip or Pat on 0827346470 or email us to
info@littleangels.co.za We will happily share our dream with you further.
Thank you and God Bless
